1. Click the Start menu, select Control Panel:

2. Find and Click on "Network and Sharing Center":

3. On the right of the Window click on "Change adapter settings":

4. Find your Network Adapter (Normally named "Local Area Connection" and doesn't have TAP-Win32 or VirtualBox as the Device Name), Once Found Right-Click on it and click "Status":

5. On the Status Window click on the "Details..." Button:

6. Now find "IPv4 DNS Server", Next to it will be a IP Address note this down for later use, Then close the Details and Status Windows:

7. Now you should be back at the Network Connections Window, Right-Click on your Network Adapter and click "Properties" this time:

8. Select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and Click "Properties":

9. Select "Use the following DNS server addresses:":

10. Find a DNS Server Closest to you at "http://www.opennicproject.org/index.php/start-here/51-migrate-to-opennic/75-public-dns" and Copy the IP of that server.

11. Now enter the Server from "opennicproject.org" into "Preferred DNS server" and enter the Server from Step 6 as "Alternate DNS server", Now click "OK" to Save Changes.

12. Now you should be ready to Use OpenNIC Domains.
